Since I came to Kushi Institute, USA on sep. 3, 4 days passed already.
And so far, 24 people are enjoying the very intensive macrobiotic course very much.
And to my surprise, what they teach at the class is completely different from what I expected in Japan. It is very very systematic, very deep contents, teachers are very very well, and we can learn not only about Yin and Yang (That's how we call In and You in English) and foods, etc...but more more essential important things.

To my understanding "What macrobioci means" is;

-The essential understanding of how to live a very natural and happy life.
-Macrobiotic can be learned not only through eating and reading books, but first you must sharpen your feeling and intuition (This is extremely important) and investigate "what means what" all by yourself!

These days, we are living under the world of "Competition and Comparison". We are very very tired of it. But macrobiotic philosophy gives you an idea of what really human life means. And it gives us the hint of chosing the good food, good choise in life. Of course this is only a hint, so all the foods what you should eat must be investigated through your intuition. In order to do that, first you need to purify your body through eating Brown Rice(Genmai) and vegetables.

Today we looked up the picture of "Jikai" of the universe. The teacher clearly explained why Jiba of the universe is formed like that. It's very simple. Macrobiotic explains many scientific un-known incidents. This is very very fun to study.

Another impressive study today, was that Human beings originally don't have the following feelings such as;
-fear
-anger
-suspicious
-depress
Those came from by eating habit, but babies are not born with those feelings.
And to overcome those above feelings, you need at least 7 years-14 years-21 years of macrobiotic diet.

The last impressive thing I learned was "you should be yourself, let yourself free, listen deeply to others, live balanced life which means sleep well, no stress, no tensed life, no competition, no comparison are imortant factor to be happy."
So from now on, I will not worry about the future, I will not compare myself with others, but just enjoy, relax, focus on do what I want to do now. This is exactly how macrobioc lifestyle is. You can change your view of the life, strengthen your intuition. Well, I have never been taught nor thought deeply about it. But here at Kusih, every teacher and students are so high leveled, and there is an very interesting discussion and good sharing of the feelings&understasndings are going on. Maybe you can see through my enthusiastic writing how much I enjoy staying here! There is good flow of "Ki"also, very quiet and beautiful countryside, old gourgeous building surrounded by great nature is wonderful. It's a wonderful experience in life, so I wish everybody who reads this article have chance to come. It's quite expensive, but definitely it worth it! Also, I am sooooo excited about sharing all these interesting and wonderful thoughts with my Japanese collegues soon.

I wish I could share a little bit of good experience with you. And sorry in English. My internet connection is not yet installed, so I must use the common computer which doesn't have Japanese keyboard with it. But I can read Japanese, so your comments in Japanese are all welcome!

こんばんわ。
もう4日たっちゃたんですね。
とても楽しそうにしているのが、文面からヒシヒシ伝わってきて、私までうれしくなってしまいました :)
それにしてもマクロビって奥が深いですね。
ただ何をどれだけ、どう食べるかだけじゃないんですね。
4つの感情の話おもしろいですね。
たしかに、そんな赤ちゃん見たことないかも....
intuition がすごく大切....
なるほど。
たしかに学費は高いですよね.......
でも、本当に、worth it なんでしょうね。
それだけいろいろ内容の濃いことを学べるんだから。
私も、一年後ぐらいにはいけたらいいなー。

はじめまして、いつも記事を読ませていただいてますが、コメントは初めてです♪
本当に楽しそうに講義を受けてらっしゃるのが文面から伝わってきました。
うらやましい♪
私もチャンスがあったらぜひ行ってみたいと思うのですが、まだ2才と3ヶ月の子どもがいるので(泣)
いけるのはずいぶん先になりそうです・・・

子どもの頃にアメリカのNJ州に家族で住んでいたので、英語は問題ないんですけどね・・・

お久しぶりです。交流会で委員をさせて頂き、ゆうさんにHPのアドレスを教えて頂いて以来、時々拝見しておりました。とても素敵な講義ですね!!私は高3の実力テストが終わって、文化祭のダンス公演の練習に熱中しています!ゆうさん、お体に気をつけて、アメリカでの生活を楽しんで下さい☆

ゆうちゃん、はろ〜♪アメリカで楽しんでる+がんばってるようで何よりです。
私も本格的に茶道家としての活動をぼちぼち始めようかと考えています(教えるほうね)。

ゆうちゃんが帰国したら、お料理教えてください♪(マクロまで奥深くないけど)精進懐石とかマクロに通じるものがあると思います。お茶会では懐石料理を自分で作っておもてなしすること必至なので、マクロの極意をマスターしてきて私に教えてくださいな。

kazuka san, go for dance performance lesson! I wish I could go to bunkasai to see your show! kamome san, yes it takes to discharge within 1st 7 years, and then 14 years, and then 21 years. Each time you will experience different kinds of discharge. That's what I learned. Macrobiotic takes time to be fully recovered. Today I went for macrobiotic restaurant to eat Tiramisu.. I wish I could show you picture, but no own internet line yet..

yacchi! Good for you to start you teach sado! I would like to learn that too sometime. Here I even learn Shiatsu...all the meridians and points of the body. This is called macrobiotic shiatsu. Super interesting.. let's enjoy the session (collaboration plan) on Japanese culture&foods in the future. I am learning shojin ryouri as well. This would be really interesting!!!
